Don't forget the week after a holiday is the time to check out reduced items in order to stock up for next year.
I would suggest non-edibles :)
You can shop for these items a little later for a more discounted rate but the selection may not be as good. This is when you might want to shop this week and get what you "absolutely MUST HAVE" and then go back and check out the sales again in a week or so for more fun.
